Start Your Build — (941) 343-7262How a Custom Build Works
1. Vision Meeting
You tell us what you’re driving and what you want it to become. We ask questions that shape the build — how you’ll use it, what terrain, daily driver or trail rig, your priorities. This conversation is the foundation.
2. Build Plan & Estimate
We put together a detailed build plan with specific parts, brands, and pricing. Good/Better/Best options where it makes sense. We explain why we recommend each component — not just what, but why.
3. Parts & Scheduling
We source parts from our 200+ manufacturer network. Once everything’s in-house, we schedule your build. No surprise delays waiting on backorders — we confirm availability before committing to a timeline.
4. The Build
Daniel Capper (26 years automotive experience) leads every build. Every bolt torqued to spec, every component inspected, every wire properly routed. We send you progress photos along the way.
5. Quality Check & Test
Before you see it, we do a full inspection and test drive. Alignment, torque check, electrical systems, suspension cycle test. Dan Marchiando’s manufacturing background means nothing leaves until it passes QC.
6. Delivery
You pick up a vehicle that makes your buddy say “Who did that?” We walk you through everything we did, answer questions, and make sure you’re 100% satisfied. We don’t close your bill until you feel like you got what you hired us for.
Build Investment Ranges
Every build is unique, but here’s what most customers invest at each level. We build to your budget and priorities — not every build needs everything at once.

Custom Build FAQ
How much does a custom Jeep build cost?
A complete custom Jeep build at Godspeed ranges from $8,000 to $30,000+ depending on scope. A trail-ready package with lift, tires, and bumper runs $8,000–$12,000. A full build with premium suspension, 35s, bumpers, winch, and lighting runs $12,000–$18,000. Show-quality builds with long-arm kits, 37s, full armor, and interior work can exceed $25,000.
How long does a custom build take?
A trail-ready package typically takes 2–3 days once all parts are in-house. A full build runs 5–7 business days. Premium builds with extensive fabrication or special-order components can take 2–3 weeks. We don’t start the clock until all parts arrive — no half-built vehicles sitting in the shop waiting on backorders.
Can I supply my own parts?
Yes, we install customer-supplied parts. We’ll inspect everything before installation and let you know if we spot any quality concerns. Labor rates are the same whether we source the parts or you do. When we source parts, we can often get better pricing through our manufacturer relationships and you get our warranty on the components.
Do I need to do everything at once?
No. Many customers phase their build over time — lift and tires first, bumpers next month, lighting later. We plan builds with phasing in mind so each stage works properly on its own and builds toward the complete vision.
