Should I get synthetic or steel cable?
We strongly recommend synthetic rope. It’s lighter, safer (no dangerous snapback if it breaks), easier to handle, and doesn’t rust. Warn’s Spydura synthetic rope is an excellent choice. The only advantage of steel cable is abrasion resistance in very rocky environments.
