Why Sarasota Trusts Godspeed
We’re not a chain store. We’re enthusiasts who happen to run a shop.
Specialist Focus — Not General Repair
We only build off-road vehicles. No oil changes, no brake jobs, no sedans. Every dollar of investment in our tools, training, and parts inventory goes toward making your 4×4 better.
Manufacturing-Grade Precision
Our GM, Dan Marchiando, spent 33 years at Cummins Diesel overseeing quality and manufacturing. He knows how vehicles are engineered from the factory — and how to properly integrate aftermarket components.
26 Years Under the Hood
Senior technician Daniel Capper grew up welding on a 1,000-acre farm, graduated Lincoln Tech, and has built everything from custom suspensions to production Honda vehicles. He’s the one turning wrenches on your build.
Your Vision, Our Expertise
We don’t upsell you on parts you don’t need. We listen to what you want, shape the build with our experience, and deliver something that makes your buddy say “Who did that?”
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from customers considering a build at Godspeed Off-Road.
How much does it cost to lift a Jeep in Sarasota?
A Jeep lift kit installation at Godspeed Off-Road typically ranges depending on lift height, kit quality, and whether you’re adding wheels and tires. A 2.5-inch entry-level lift with quality components runs installed. A 3.5-inch mid-range lift with Fox shocks runs Premium long-arm kits or complete suspension overhauls start around Every installation includes alignment. See our full lift kit pricing guide.
What is the best lift kit for a Jeep Wrangler?
The best lift kit depends on how you’ll use your Wrangler. For daily driving with occasional trails, a 2.5-inch Mopar or TeraFlex spring kit offers a great ride. For serious off-road use, a 3.5-inch TeraFlex or Metalcloak kit with adjustable control arms handles rocks and flex. For competition or extreme builds, a long-arm kit from Clayton or Synergy gives maximum articulation. We install all major brands and help you pick the right one for your driving style. Compare lift kit options.
Is a 3-inch lift enough for a Wrangler?
A 3-inch lift is the sweet spot for most Wrangler owners. It gives you enough clearance to run 35-inch tires comfortably, improves approach and departure angles noticeably, and keeps the center of gravity reasonable for daily driving. If you’re running 37s or doing serious rock crawling, you’ll want 3.5 inches or more. We install a lot of 3-inch kits because they deliver the best balance of looks, capability, and daily drivability.
How long does it take to install a lift kit?
A standard 2.5-inch to 3-inch spacer or spring lift typically takes 4–6 hours of shop time. A 3.5-inch kit with new shocks and control arms takes 6–8 hours. Long-arm kits or complete suspension overhauls can take 10–14 hours spread across 1–2 days. We don’t rush installs — every bolt gets torqued to spec, every component gets inspected, and alignment is included. Most customers drop off in the morning and pick up the same day for standard lifts.
Do you work on Ford Broncos?
Yes. The Ford Bronco is one of our fastest-growing platforms. We install lift kits, wheels and tires, bumpers, rock sliders, and lighting on both 2-door and 4-door Broncos. The aftermarket for Bronco is expanding rapidly and we carry parts from the top Bronco-specific manufacturers. See our Bronco services.
How much does a custom Jeep build cost?
A complete custom Jeep build at Godspeed typically ranges depending on scope. A mid-level build with a 3-inch lift, 35-inch tires, front and rear bumpers, and lighting runs Premium builds with long-arm suspension, 37-inch tires, full armor, winch, and interior upgrades can exceed We build to your budget and priorities — not every build needs everything at once.
