JK RockBrawler II Rear Bumper Tire Carrier Black for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2016. The Brawler Full Width Rear Bumper for JK provides the highest ground and tire clearance possible in a Full width JK rear bumper. This bumper brings Poison Spyder form and function to the overlander market, and to those who would like to keep their Stock JK fender flares. The bumper extends to the Full width of the Stock flares, to integrate with them cleanly while protecting them from trail hazards. This configuration includes the Single-Action spare tire carrier, high clearance recovery shackle tabs and a receiver hitch. Like all bumpers in the Brawler product line, the Full Width rear bumper is fabricated from 3/16 inch plate steel, CNC laser-cut and precision brake-formed into a low profile, high clearance design. This product ships as bare steel it will need to be painted or powdercoated prior to final installation. We do Not yet offer a powdercoat option for this item.

Full Width
Finally there is a Full Width front bumper that incorporates Poison Spyder attention to form and function, in an elegant package that integrates perfectly with the Stock Jeep or aftermarket Stock replacement fender flares. While this bumper was designed for those Jeep enthusiasts who prefer a more overland style and function to their Jeep build, or want to keep their factory flares, we could Not simply make a Full-width monstrosity like so many unsightly bumpers already on the market.

Even though it is Full width, and less likely to be used on the hard core rock trails, we still felt compelled to design it with maximum approach angle, ground clearance and tire clearance possible while still extending out to the Full width of the Stock flares to protect the corners of the Jeep.

The outriggers that extend to the edge of the flare are kept as tight to the original Brawlers high clearance lines as possible, tapering outward toward the ends. This allows the best departure angles possible in a Full width rear bumper, minimizing the chances of hanging up as the rear tire comes off a rock or ledge. The outriggers are designed to integrate visually with the Stock fender flares, in a clean, almost factory look.
Bumper Plate Steel Construction
Every Brawler bumper starts out as a sheet of 3/16 inch plate steel. Our CNC laser cutter precisely cuts the flat pattern as designed in our 3D CAD system. Next the bumper parts are CNC brake-formed into the high clearance, multi-faceted pieces that will become a finished bumper. Highly skilled tradesmen weld each bumper together using precision-engineered assembly fixtures for a perfect fit. Finally the complete bumper is sent through our finishing department for final appearance surfacing and quality control checks.
Single-Action Spare Tire Carrier
The Spare Tire Carrier Single-Action-Opening feature is a huge convenience for when you are trying to open the tailgate and tire carrier with one hand, when you have got an armload of gear or groceries in the other. Rather than latching to itself, the tire carrier is tethered to the tailgate so that they open and close in tandem. A custom designed tie-rod assembly, bumper mechanism and Tramp Stamp keep the two pieces perfectly aligned when open, but tight and rattle-free when closed.
Tire Carrier Plate Steel Construction
The RockBrawler II Spare Tire Carrier is fabricated entirely from CNC laser cut, precision brake-formed plate steel. The pieces are expertly welded together in a specially designed assembly fixture to ensure consistent fit and quality. A web gusset design is cut into the corner of the tire carrier to provide a little Poison Spyder flare.
Extreme Duty Hinge Assembly
The extreme duty hinge assembly includes a precision CNC machined spindle and housing, with a pair of high quality Timken tapered roller bearings to provide smooth operation under the heaviest loads A spindle seal at the bottom of the hinge assembly keeps your lubrication in, and dirt and water out. The hinge assembly is capped with a CNC machined billet aluminum cap with the Spyder emblem machined in.
2-Way Adjustable Tire Mount
The tire mount is adjustable up and down, as well as in and out, to accommodate a wide variety of tire sizes up to 39 inches. The adjust-ability allows the tire to be mounted as low as possible for any tire size, to keep a low center of gravity.
License Plate Relocation Mount
The included license plate mount places the license plate at the center of the spare tire, for those who choose to move it there. Unlike the original RockBrawler rear bumper, the RockBrawler II Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier does Not obstruct the placement of the Stock license plate frame, so the installer may choose to leave it in the Stock location or move it to the center of the rear tire using the included bracket. We recommend relocating it, as the Stock mount sticks out significantly from the side of the Jeep and is just begging to be torn off by a rock along the trail. If relocating the license plate, our License Plate Delete Cover (p/n 17-04-112) and LED License Plate and 3rd Brake Light (p/n 41-04-LP6) will be useful in completing the relocation.
Integrated Hitch Receiver
The integrated hitch receiver accepts Standard 2 inch hitches and recovery accessories. It is built in to the structure of the Brawler Full Width Rear Bumper in order to provide a higher clearance, tougher hitch that’s there when you need it, but tucked up higher out of the way for better clearance and departure angles on the trail. Includes integrated safety chain loops.

Important: The integrated hitch receiver is Not rated for towing. It is intended as a recovery attachment point only.
Rock Solid Mounting
The JK Brawler Full Width Rear Bumper incorporates an extra set of mounting bolts, along the bottom of the bumper which fasten into the rear crossmember. Combined with the mounting flange bolts at either side, the bumper is rigidly fastened by a total of 8 Grade 8 bolts, on three different planes to provide ultimate strength and rigidity to the mounted bumper. The drivers side floating flange allows for safe, secure tightening to the Jeep frame rails regardless of manufacturing variances from the Jeep factory.
Recovery Shackle Tabs
The Heavy Duty Recovery Shackle Tabs are CNC machined from 1 inch thick steel billet, specifically designed to accept our Heavy Duty 3/4 inch Recovery Shackles. These tabs are designed to match the high clearance aspects of the rest of the bumper and minimized hang-ups. These Heavy Duty Recovery Shackle Tabs come as Standard equipment on the Brawler Full Width Rear Bumper.
Optional Hi-Lift Jack Mount
A custom Hi-Lift Jack Mount (p/n 45-61-011), available separately, is CNC laster cut and bolts to the top of the tire carrier. It features a distinctive web design to match the corner gusset detail on the RockBrawler II Tire Carrier, and mounts the Hi-Lift jack above and forward of the spare tire to keep it tucked up and away until needed.

Multi-Faceted Design
The RockBrawler Rear Bumper high clearance, multi-faceted design provides the best possible departure angles and corner obstacle clearance. Its appearance is streamlined and sexy, Not like the squarish, boxy shape of many other bumpers on the market. The RockBrawler is constructed of CNC laser cut, brake-formed 3/16 inch plate steel. The multiple bends and facets actually lend even more strength to the bumper design.

Unlike the Poison Spyder BFH Rear Bumper for JK, the RockBrawler Rear Bumper can be mounted without cutting or altering the Jeep frame rails.
Recessed Back-Up Lamps
Very few JK rear bumpers come with provisions for mounting backup lamps. Of those that do, fewer still allow the use of high intensity, low power drawing LED lamps. The RockBrawler Rear Bumper recessed light buckets accept 2.5 inch Round, Clear LED Lamps, the same backup lamps we have sold with our Crusher Corners.

The recessed buckets protect them from the rocks and direct light rearward rather than into the bumper interior, the way some competitor bracket-mounted lamps do. Customers may choose to wire them into the reverse light circuit, or wire them to a separate dash switch as a loading or utility light. Important: Note that the LED Lamps do Not come with this bumper, they must be purchased separately.
Works with Existing Equipment
The RockBrawler Rear Bumper is designed to work with your existing OE tow hitch. Unlike the integrated hitches found on competitor bumpers, the OE hitch is designed for and safely rated for towing. And best of all, its easily removable. So those who need a sturdy hitch for towing can still use the Stock one, while those who need the extra clearance for hard core off-roading can easily remove it.

The RockBrawler Rear Bumper has a built-in step/recess to provide easy access to the rear of the Jeep as well as clearance for the spare tire. This bumper may be used with the Stock spare tire carrier and up to a 35 inch tire.
