Utilizing an innovative design scheme, Rough Country’s Research and Development Team has produced a new type of winch bumper that borrows the best from both sides while remaining easy to install and easy on your wallet.
The JK Hybrid Stubby features a 3/16-inch thick plate steel center with an integrated winch mount. Two steel end caps help further protect the winch, partially encasing it – but the real success of this design lies in the fact that these end caps are removable, offering plenty of clearance to easily install or remove the winch. Mount your fairlead to the outside and the result is an easy-to-install winch protection system. Best of all, The JK Hybrid Stubby weighs in at a mere 40-lbs! How’s that for not bogging you down?
This winch bumper is a true stubby. Utilizing the JK’s factory bumper mounts and tow hooks, it spans no further than the frame horns and rests below the radiator shroud. The new Smittybilt SRC front bumper has been completely redesigned with more aggressive styling and heavy duty features. The new bumper features an integrated over-rider bar and corners that extend to match the factory fender line for greater protection. The redesigned solid D-ring mounts feature an integrated recovery point for easy access. The winch plate has been placed lower for greater airflow to the radiator.

Trail Stinger
The Trail Stinger used on this version of the Brawler Lite is modeled after the famous Trail Stinger originally developed and popularized by Poison Spyder. This time-honored design has proven itself on hundreds of Jeeps over the past decade, providing simple, clean lines along with a measure of forward-flop protection. The Trail Stinger is made of CNC laser-Notched, NC-bent 1.75 inch diameter .120 inch wall DOM tubing.
The complex laser-cut Notch allows the Brawler Bar to be welded to two different planes on the surface of the bumper, providing incredible strength. The Trail Stinger is fortified by a pair of 1.25 inch diameter .120 inch wall DOM tube gussets. Note: Warn PowerPlant winches are Not a direct-fit with the DOM Tube gussets (they may be installed with some minor modifications by the installer). Brawler Lite is also available with the Brawler Bar or with no bar/stinger.
Easy Installation
Unlike the Poison Spyder BFH series bumpers for JK, the Brawler Lite can be mounted without cutting or altering the Jeep frame rails. The faceted design of the Brawler Lite provides the best ground clearance and approach angle possible in a bumper that doesn’t require frame modifications. The factory Crash Bar may be left intact or removed for a sleek appearance and high clearance. If keeping the crash bar, we recommend adding the Brawler Lite Skid Plate (sold separately), which conceals the crash bar and protects the electronic sway bar disconnect.
Recessed Fog Lamp Mounts
Brawler Lite comes with built-in, recessed fog lamp mounts that are designed to easily accept your Stock fog lamps. And these are Not just simple light tabs placed behind a hole in the bumper they are recessed in a bucket made of a Full tubular section to encircle the lamp and keep light from annoyingly leaking behind and around the bumper. Adding further convenience are mounting holes for re-installing the harness retainer clips for the factory wiring, to keep the wiring neatly secured. If you’d like a lot more power than the factory fog lamps provide, you can opt to install a set of Rigid Industries Dually or D2 Dually LED lamps using our JK Fog Light Mounts for Rigid Industries Dually/D2.
Important: The Stock fog lamps used on the Jeep Wrangler 10th Anniversary Rubicon do Not fit into the fog lamp buckets on this bumper. If installing this bumper on a 10th Anniversary Rubicon, we suggest using a pair of Rigid Industries Dually or Dually D2 LED lamps along with our JK Dually Fog Lamp Mounts instead of the Stock fog lamps.
Winch Compatibility
The Brawler Lite top-mounted, integrated winch mount is part of the Fully boxed, internally gusseted bumper shell. Winches that are mounted inside the bumper lose this box strength as well as the strength of internal gussets. The Brawler Lite is designed to accept Most Warn and other brand winches that use the popular 10 inch X 4.5 inch mounting pattern, with a few small exceptions. Warn Powerplant winches fit the Brawler Lite with Brawler Bar and Plate Gussets just fine, however it will require slight modifications to use this winch with the Tube Gusset variant. Mounting the Warn Zeon winches requires our Zeon Winch Spacer Plates. See the FAQ section below for further information on both of these winches.
Recovery Shackle Tabs
Optional Recovery Shackle Tabs are modeled after the high clearance tabs designed for our hard core BFH series bumpers. These tabs are angle to provide maximum approach angle. They are CNC machined from 1 inch thick steel billet, specifically designed to accept our heavy duty 3/4 inch Recovery Shackles. Selecting this option will get you a pair of these tabs, expertly welded to the Brawler Lite bumper.
Separate versions of the Brawler Lite are available with no bar or with the Brawler Bar.
The Brawler Lite comes to you as bare steel, ready to accept paint or powdercoat in the color of your choice. A powdercoat option for this item is Not currently available directly through Poison Spyder.

JK Brawler Full Width Front Bumper Tabs for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2016. The Brawler Full Width Front Bumper for JK provides the highest ground and tire clearance possible in a Full width JK bumper. This bumper brings Poison Spyder form and function to the overlander market, and to those who would like to keep their Stock JK fender flares.
The bumper extends to the Full width of the Stock flares, to integrate with them cleanly while protecting them from trail hazards. This configuration includes recessed fog light buckets and high clearance recovery shackle tabs. Like all bumpers in the Brawler product line, the Full Width is fabricated from 3/16 inch plate steel, CNC laser-cut and precision brake-formed into a low profile, high clearance design. This product ships as bare steel. It will need to be painted or powdercoated prior to final installation. We do Not yet offer a powdercoat option for this item.

Full Width
Finally there is a Full Width front bumper that incorporates Poison Spyders attention to form and function, in an elegant package that integrates perfectly with the Stock Jeep or aftermarket Stock replacement fender flares. While this bumper was designed for those Jeep enthusiasts who prefer a more overland style and function to their Jeep build, or want to keep their factory flares, we could not simply make a Full-width monstrosity like so many unsightly bumpers already on the market. Even though it is Full width, and less likely to be used on the hard core rock trails, we still felt compelled to design it with maximum approach angle, ground clearance and tire clearance possible while still extending out to the Full width of the Stock flares to protect the corners of the Jeep.
The lower skid plate is sold separately, so that those who would rather run without it (and gain even more ground clearance) may do so. The outriggers that extend to the edge of the flare are kept as tight to the original Brawler high clearance lines as possible, tapering outward toward the ends. This allows the tires the best access to grab obstacles to pull the Jeep up and over rather than impeding progress when metal meets rock. The outriggers are designed to integrate visually with the Stock fender flares, in a clean, almost factory look. The back side of the outrigger is scalloped to provide maximum clearance for up to a 37 inch tire with minimal suspension lift.
Plate Steel Construction
Every Brawler bumper starts out as a sheet of 3/16 inch plate steel. Our CNC laser cutter precisely cuts the flat pattern as designed in our 3D CAD system. Next the bumper parts are CNC brake-formed into the high clearance, multi-faceted pieces that will become a finished bumper. Highly skilled tradesmen weld each bumper together using precision-engineered assembly fixtures for a perfect fit. Finally the complete bumper is sent through our finishing department for final appearance surfacing and quality control checks.

Every Brawler Front Bumper comes with provisions for re-mounting your factory fog lamps. These consist of recessed fog lamp buckets that are made of CNC laser cut DUM tubing with a mounting flange designed to accept the mounting hardware of the Stock lamps. The recess and all-steel buckets help protect the lamps from the rocks. For those who do Not have the Stock fog lamps, or would like to upgrade to more powerful LED lamps, Poison Spyder offers a unique LED Fog Lamp Mounting Kit (p/n RIG-DLYFOGMNT) for installing a pair of Rigid Industries Dually LED lamps in the fog lamp locations.

Winch Compatibility
The Brawler Full Width Front Bumper is designed to accept Most Warn winches, and winches from other manufacturers that conform to Warn Standardized winch mounting dimensions. The winch sits in a slight depression on the top surface of the bumper, with plenty of CNC laser cut plate steel gusseting inside the bumper shell, directly underneath the winch to provide maximum strength. The Winch Fairlead Mount (p/n 45-57-010) is sold separately, so that those who wish to Not run a winch are left with a clean looking, unobstructed top surface on their bumper. Important: installing the Warn Zeon winch on the Brawler Mid Front Bumper requires a set of our Zeon Winch Spacer Plates (p/n 45-57-010-03).
Recovery Shackle Tabs

Optional Brawler Lite Skid
The optional Brawler Lite Skid Plate (p/n 17-59-030) attaches to the bottom of the Brawler Full Width Front Bumper to conceal and protect the Stock crash bar, plus it has an extension to protect the electronic swaybar disconnect motor found on Rubicon JKs.
The skid is made of CNC laser-cut 3/16 inch plate steel, precision brake-formed for a precise fit to the Brawler Full Width Front Bumper (yes, the Brawler Lite and Brawler Full Width share the same skid plate).
A separate version of the Brawler Full Width Front Bumper is available with the DOM tubular Brawler Bar.

The optional Brawler Bar is a lower-profile Stinger, fashioned after the 2-bend Stinger featured on our Original RockBrawler bumper for JK. The Brawler Bar features the Most versatile combination of trail protection and a lower profile for easier access to the engine compartment, fitment into garages and trailers, etc. Plus it looks bad-ass! The Brawler Bar extends 7.4 inches forward from the front edge of the bumper, and 9.8 inches high from the top surface of the bumper.
The optional Trail Stinger is similar in proportion to the famous Poison Spyder Trail Stinger. This time-honored design has proven itself on hundreds of Jeeps over the past decade, providing simple, clean lines along with a measure of forward-flop protection. The Trail Stinger extends 13.4 inches forward from the front edge of the bumper, and 17 inches high from the top surface of the bumper.
The optional Comp Stinger for the BFH front bumper matches the lines of our stand-alone Comp Stingers. For those getting into the more hard-core aspects of the sport, the Comp Stinger provides even better forward-roll prevention, as well as increased protection of the radiator area and engine compartment in the event of a rollover. The Comp Stinger extends 17.6 inches forward from the front edge of the bumper, and 21.9 inches high from the top surface of the bumper.
The optional Recovery Shackle Tabs are machined from 1 inch thick plate steel to provide a secure attachment point for 3/4 inch recovery shackles. These tabs are specifically engineered to match the angles of the BFH bumper to result in zero loss in approach angle.
The optional Winch Fairlead Mount is a separate piece (bolt-on, Not weld-on) that mounts between your winch and the BFH bumper to provide a secure mounting surface for the winch fairlead (find it in the Related Items section below).
The JK BFH Disco Skid is an optional bolt-on skid plate to protect the factory electric swaybar disconnect motor on JKs. In Stock form this motor hangs low, making it vulnerable to rocks and trail hazards. The BFH Disco Skid protects it, but also comes with hardware and instructions to rotate the motor upward, further out of harm’s way. Like the BFH bumper, the Disco Skid is made of CNC laser-cut 3/16 inch plate steel and is designed to be a great looking, functional addition to the JK BFH bumper.
Whether you keep it simple or customize it with all the options, the BFH front bumper is a serious bumper for hardcore wheeling!
