Jeep Gladiator Builds in Sarasota
The Jeep Gladiator JT is the only midsize truck with removable doors, a fold-down windshield, and genuine off-road DNA. Godspeed Off-Road builds Gladiators for everything from overlanding rigs to trail-ready trucks. The longer wheelbase means different suspension tuning, longer rock sliders, and bed-specific accessories that set the Gladiator apart from the Wrangler.

Lift Kits & Suspension
Gladiator-specific kits from TeraFlex, Mopar, Fox, and Rancho. The JT’s heavier rear end needs different spring rates than the JL Wrangler. 2.5″ to 4.5″ lifts with proper bump stop and sway bar geometry.
Wheels & Tires
35s on a 2.5″ lift, 37s on a 3.5″ lift. The Gladiator’s 137″ wheelbase handles larger tires with less wander than the Wrangler. We handle regearing for tire sizes 35″ and up.
Bumpers & Armor
Same front bumper fitment as the JL Wrangler. Rear bumpers and rock sliders designed for the truck-bed configuration and extended wheelbase. Full armor packages available.
Bed Racks & Accessories
Putnam, Leitner Designs, and custom bed racks for rooftop tents, gear, and overland setups. MOLLE panels, bed slides, and storage solutions for the 5-foot bed.
Tonneau Covers
Hard tri-fold, soft roll-up, and retractable tonneau covers. We install covers that work with bed racks, sport bars, and aftermarket accessories. Weatherproof options for Florida rain.
Overland Builds
The Gladiator is the ideal overlanding platform — open-air driving plus a pickup bed for gear. We build overland rigs with rooftop tents, bed racks, dual battery systems, and recovery gear.
Gladiator vs Wrangler: What’s Different
Suspension & Lift Kits
The Gladiator’s 137″ wheelbase (vs 96″ for the Wrangler 2-door or 118″ for the 4-door) means different lift geometry. The heavier rear end from the pickup bed needs stiffer rear springs. Shocks are longer. Brake lines need more length on higher lifts. We only install Gladiator-specific kits — Wrangler kits don’t fit correctly.
Armor & Rock Sliders
Longer wheelbase means longer rock sliders and more belly exposure to rocks. Gladiator-specific sliders and skid plates cover the extra length. The bed adds weight, so armor needs to be lighter where possible without sacrificing protection.
Frequently Asked Questions
What lift kit fits a Jeep Gladiator?
The Gladiator JT uses different lift kits than the Wrangler JL due to its longer wheelbase and heavier rear end. A 2.5-inch lift with Fox 2.0 shocks is the sweet spot for 35-inch tires while maintaining ride quality. We install TeraFlex, Mopar, Fox, and other Gladiator-specific kits.
Can I run 37-inch tires on a Gladiator?
Yes, with a 3.5-inch lift and fender trimming or high-clearance fenders. You’ll want to regear to 4.88 or 5.13 ratios to restore highway drivability. The Gladiator handles larger tires well due to its longer wheelbase.
What bed accessories are available for the Gladiator?
Popular bed accessories include bed racks (Putnam, Leitner), tonneau covers (hard tri-fold and roll-up), bed liners, bed slide platforms, MOLLE panels, and tailgate reinforcement plates. We install all major brands.
