JK BFH II Rear Crossmember for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2016. By itself or used in conjunction with the JK BFH II Rear Bumper, this Built For the Hammers crossmember strengthens the Jeep JK Wrangler rear frame when trimmed for maximum ground clearance and departure angle.

Plate Steel Construction
The BFH II Rear Crossmember is CNC laser-cut from high strength 3/16 inch plate steel, then precision brake-formed for an exact fit. Dimpled lighting holes remove unnecessary weight while creating a custom look for those who choose to run the crossmember by itself without a rear bumper to cover it.
High Clearance and Departure Angle
The minimalist design of the JK BFH II Rear Bumper provides the Most ground/obstacle clearance and best departure angle possible while preserving the integrity of the Jeep JK frame strength. Installation requires trimming the bulky rear frame rails and Stock bumper mounts and welding in the new crossmember. A laser-cut steel template is provided to assist with making the right cuts.
Use By Itself or With BFH II Rear Bumper
The BFH II Rear Crossmember may be used by itself as an ultra-minimalist, high clearance rear bumper. But it is designed to be used with the Poison Spyder BFH II Rear Bumper. The bumper fits over the crossmember like a glove. Together, this combination provides the frame-strengthening characteristics of the crossmember along with the aesthetics of the BFH II Rear Bumper. This specific part number for the crossmember does Not include an integrated hitch receiver, so it can only be used with the K BFH II Rear Bumper – Tabs or K BFH II Rear Bumper – Tabs – Lights. A different version of the BFH II Crossmember is available with a hitch receiver (p/n 17-17-030)
NotES: Installation requires cutting of Stock frame rails and welding! Please read through the Installation Instructions so that you are Fully aware of the modifications required to your Jeep frame rails, before purchasing.
This product ships as bare steel it will need to be painted after installation.

Full Width
Finally there is a Full Width front bumper that incorporates Poison Spyder attention to form and function, in an elegant package that integrates perfectly with the Stock Jeep or aftermarket Stock replacement fender flares. While this bumper was designed for those Jeep enthusiasts who prefer a more overland style and function to their Jeep build, or want to keep their factory flares, we couldn’t simply make a Full-width monstrosity like so many unsightly bumpers already on the market.Even though its Full width, and less likely to be used on the hard core rock trails, we still felt compelled to design it with maximum approach angle, ground clearance and tire clearance possible while still extending out to the Full width of the Stock flares to protect the corners of the Jeep.
The outriggers that extend to the edge of the flare are kept as tight to the original Brawler high clearance lines as possible, tapering outward toward the ends. This allows the best departure angles possible in a Full width rear bumper, minimizing the chances of hanging up as the rear tire comes off a rock or ledge. The outriggers are designed to integrate visually with the Stock fender flares, in a clean, almost factory look.
Bumper Plate Steel Construction
Every Brawler bumper starts out as a sheet of 3/16 inch plate steel. Our CNC laser cutter precisely cuts the flat pattern as designed in our 3D CAD system. Next the bumper parts are CNC brake-formed into the high clearance, multi-faceted pieces that will become a finished bumper. Highly skilled tradesmen weld each bumper together using precision-engineered assembly fixtures for a perfect fit. Finally the complete bumper is sent through our finishing department for final appearance surfacing and quality control checks.
Integrated Hitch Receiver
The integrated hitch receiver accepts Standard 2 inch hitches and recovery accessories. It is built in to the structure of the Brawler Full Width Rear Bumper in order to provide a higher clearance, tougher hitch that is there when you need it, but tucked up higher out of the way for better clearance and departure angles on the trail. Includes integrated safety chain loops.Important: The integrated hitch receiver is Not rated for towing. It is intended as a recovery attachment point only.
Rock Solid Mounting
The JK Brawler Full Width Rear Bumper incorporates an extra set of mounting bolts, along the bottom of the bumper which fasten into the rear crossmember. Combined with the mounting flange bolts at either side, the bumper is rigidly fastened by a total of 8 Grade 8 bolts, on three different planes to provide ultimate strength and rigidity to the mounted bumper. The drivers side floating flange allows for safe, secure tightening to the Jeep frame rails regardless of manufacturing variances from the Jeep factory.
Recovery Shackle Tabs
The Heavy Duty Recovery Shackle Tabs are CNC machined from 1 inch thick steel billet, specifically designed to accept our Heavy Duty 3/4 inch Recovery Shackles. These tabs are designed to match the high clearance aspects of the rest of the bumper and minimized hang-ups. The mount plate is CNC laser cut from 3/16 inch plate steel, with an unmistakable Spyder web design. The plate bolts to the top of the tire carrier using the supplied Grade 8 hardware.
Your Hi-Lift jack attaches to the mount plate with a pair of heavy duty 1/2 inch carriage bolts with urethane isolator bushings. We provide both wing nuts and nylock nuts so you can choose which to use to fasten your Jack to the mount. The RockBrawler Hi-Lift Jack Mount comes bare steel so you may paint or powdercoat in the color of your choice.

Single-Action Spare Tire Carrier
The Spare Tire Carrier Single-Action-Opening feature is a huge convenience for when you are trying to open the tailgate and tire carrier with one hand, when you have got an armload of gear or groceries in the other. Rather than latching to itself, the tire carrier is tethered to the tailgate so that they open and close in tandem. A custom designed tie-rod assembly, bumper mechanism and Tramp Stamp keep the two pieces perfectly aligned when open, but tight and rattle-free when closed.
Tire Carrier Plate Steel Construction
The RockBrawler II Spare Tire Carrier is fabricated entirely from CNC laser cut, precision brake-formed plate steel. The pieces are expertly welded together in a specially designed assembly fixture to ensure consistent fit and quality. A web gusset design is cut into the corner of the tire carrier to provide a little Poison Spyder flare.
Extreme Duty Hinge Assembly
The extreme duty hinge assembly includes a precision CNC machined spindle and housing, with a pair of high quality Timken tapered roller bearings to provide smooth operation under the heaviest loads A spindle seal at the bottom of the hinge assembly keeps your lubrication in, and dirt and water out. The hinge assembly is capped with a CNC machined billet aluminum cap with the Spyder emblem machined in.
2-Way Adjustable Tire Mount
The tire mount is adjustable up and down, as well as in and out, to accommodate a wide variety of tire sizes up to 39 inches. The adjust-ability allows the tire to be mounted as low as possible for any tire size, to keep a low center of gravity.
License Plate Relocation Mount
The included license plate mount places the license plate at the center of the spare tire, for those who choose to move it there. Unlike the original RockBrawler rear bumper, the RockBrawler II Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier does Not obstruct the placement of the Stock license plate frame, so the installer may choose to leave it in the Stock location or move it to the center of the rear tire using the included bracket. We recommend relocating it, as the Stock mount sticks out significantly from the side of the Jeep and is just begging to be torn off by a rock along the trail. If relocating the license plate, our License Plate Delete Cover (p/n 17-04-112) and LED License Plate w/3rd Brake Light (p/n 41-04-LP6) will be useful in completing the relocation.
