DIY Slider Tube Kit 53.75 inch. The DIY Slider Tube Kit from Poison Spyder allows the do-it-yourselfer to add a rugged DOM tube slider to Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers or other aftermarket plate steel rocker armor.
The kit includes:

• The slider tubes as well as the short tube supports to brace the center of the tube against the rocker, to do both sides of the Jeep

The DOM slider tube pieces are CNC bent and pre-Notched to mount at an angle, as with our ready-built Rocker Knockers with Sliders.
The main tubes measure 53.75 inches long and the kit was designed specifically for the Jeep LJ and CJ-8, but might possibly be used on other vehicles if it fits. Requires welding.

JK 4-Dr Ricochet Rockers Frame Mounted for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2016. Poison Spyder JK Ricochet Rockers provide rocker protection for your Jeep vulnerable body sheet metal, while also providing a convenient step for easily entering and exiting the Jeep. These Ricochet Rockers are mounted to the Jeep frame to provide the best protection possible without relying on the Jeep comparatively weaker body tub for support.

DOM Tube and Die-Dimpled Step Plates
The tubular rocker rail is rugged 1.75 inch X .120 wall DOM structural tubing. The slider rail is fabricated from CNC-bent 1.5 inch X .120 wall DOM tubing. Ricochet Rockers have a distinguishing 5 inch wide dimpled plate that acts as a step and a stout reinforcement for the slider. This makes the Ricochet Rocker protection a very effective armor addition and an effective pivot for getting your maneuvering your Jeep through tight spots on the trail. With the dimple protrusions pointing upward, they give the extra benefit of increased foot traction when entering or exiting the vehicle, even with boots covered with snow or mud. These step plates, as well as the corner gussets added at either end of the Ricochet Rocker, are CNC laser cut from 1/8 inch steel plate.
Frame-Mounted Outriggers
Frame-Mounted Ricochet Rockers attach to your Jeep frame rails through rugged, precision engineered outriggers on each side. The outriggers are fabricated of CNC laser cut 3/16 inch thick plate steel, and are designed in a triangular shape to act as their own gusset and provide superior strength. The outrigger wraps around the bottom and side of the frame rail for support on two planes. The outriggers are also located so they may be directly bolted to the sides of the Jeep body mounts for even more strength. Compare this design to competitors frame-mounted sliders that use a simple piece of non-triangulated, non-gusseted tubing welded to a plate that attaches to the side of the Jeep frame rail.
Bolt-On or Weld-On installation
Instructions and hardware are provided for a fairly easy bolt-on installation of the Frame-Mounted Ricochet Rockers. The procedure uses some existing mounting holes on your Jeep frame, but does require some additional drilling and tapping. Alternatively, installers may choose to weld the Ricochet Rockers in place.
Suspension and Body Lift Compatibility
Frame-Mounted JK Ricochet Rockers are Not compatible with typical long arm suspension kits, without some Do-It-Yourself modifications. The rearward support outrigger will likely interfere with the location of Most long-arm kits link brackets. For those wishing to install this product in conjunction with a long-arm kit, it may be possible to do so by ordering the Ricochet Rockers with the rearward outrigger Not welded on, and then locating and welding them in place during installation. Also Note that, as a frame-mounted product, any body lift installed on the Jeep will result in a gap of the same height, between the Ricochet Rocker and the Jeep body tub.
Don’t Forget the JK Body Armor!
Poison Spyder JK Ricochet Knockers can be utilized as a stand alone component or can be used in conjunction with Poison Spyder JK Body Armor. JK Body Armor is a secondary line of defense against off road damage to your Jeep, protecting the Jeep by reaching above the slider level up to the door line. Ricochet Rockers do Not mount to or use the Body Armor for additional structure. But they work and look great together as a complete rocker armor package.
